(Avon) The Avon School District in Lorain County is hoping the solar eclipse on April 8th can provide a bit of a windfall for various programs in the district. They are renting out parking spots at $35-dollars per spot in advance, or $50-dollars the day of the eclipse. The locations include the varsity football stadium on Stoney Ridge Road, Avon Heritage Elementary School on Bentley Drive, Avon Middle School on Long Road, and Avon High School on Detroit Road. Proceeds raised at each location will support various programs specific to those locations. For example, money raised through eclipse parking at the football stadium will benefit the football program. As per usual, no alcohol, smoking, drugs, or firearms are permitted on school property. Concessions, restrooms, and eclipse glasses will be available. Tickets for parking spots can be purchased by clicking HERE.
