HHS Levy

  • Downtown Cleveland, Inc. is in full support of the Cuyahoga County Health and Human Services Levy Renewal
    • It impacts the overall health of our community and vibrancy of our region.
  • The levy provides:
    • Mental health resources and services for the unhoused
    • Improves the reality and perception of public safety
    • Enhance the overall experience for residents, visitors, and workers in Downtown Cleveland.
  • Collaboration with Cuyahoga County and the City of Cleveland
  • We employ full-time outreach and neighborhood safety specialists trained in engagement and conflict de-escalation, building rapport with the unsheltered population to break down barriers of distrust.
  • In 2023, we made more than 850 contacts with our unsheltered neighbors demonstrating our commitment to filling gaps, supporting the local social services infrastructure, rebuilding trust, and connecting individuals with the resources they need.
  • By renewing the levy, we can collectively address the urgent public safety and quality of life issues that impede economic growth and vitality in our region.
  • With continued collaboration and strategic investment in these essential services, we can create a safer, more inclusive, and prosperous environment for all.
