Erie County Man Accused of Using Cattle Prod on Children

(Sandusky) 34-year-old Robert Bores of Florence Township in Erie County is accused of using a battery powered cattle prod to discipline two young children, ages 7 and 8. The Erie County Sheriff's Office says it was notified of suspected abuse in the home by Erie County Childrens Services. Sheriff's investigators looked into the claims and a warrant was issued for Bores arrest, which was carried out Wednesday night. Bores made his first appearance in Vermilion Municipal Court on Thursday. He's charged with 3-counts of domestic violence and 3-counts of child endangering. His bond was set at $90,000 and he must wear a GPS monitor.
