Public's Help is Requested in Finding Two Violent Criminals

UPDATE: Nathaniel Rush was arrested in Garfield Heights by U.S. Marshals late Monday afternoon. He was heavily armed.

(Cleveland) Police are asking for the public's help to locate two men suspected of taking part in a string of ten armed robberies of retail businesses in and around Cleveland in November of 2023. They are 21-year-old Damien Matthews and 21-year-old Nathaniel Rush.

Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael O'Malley says the two, along with one other person, Daeshoun Bethel, would violently attack employees of various businesses and in one instance fired a gun. Bethel has already been arrested.

Seven of the ten robberies took place in Cleveland. One each in Orange, Warrensville Heights, and Shaker Heights.

O'Malley says in one of the robberies a fourth person was also involved but they don't know who that person is yet. Charges include aggravated robbery, robbery, kidnapping, assault, improperly handling firearms in a vehicle, and receiving stolen property.

Anyone with information on where Rush and Matthews can be found is asked to contact Crimestoppers. Tips can be left anonymously on their website. Or, at 216-252-7463. There is reward for up to $5,000 for information leading to their capture.
