Finnair Starting To Weigh Passengers Besides Luggage Again

Finnair says trial is voluntary and will help estimate weight of planes’ cargo before takeoff - While Finnair insists passengers are not penalized for their weight, and that the numbers are kept discreet, away from prying eyes, they are not hugely compensated for sharing it either - Finnair said the move, which will be done on a voluntary basis through May, is designed to improve balance calculations that will enhance flight safety. To the airline’s surprise, by Wednesday it had already had 600 volunteers.

Finnair has done this years ago, but got away from it and now bringing it back on a temporary basis.
