Time Again To Name Ohio Turnpike Snowplows

(Berea) - It's almost that time of year for snowplows to do their job on Greater Cleveland roads and streets. Nearly everyone realizes winter driving is hardly any fun, but the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission wants to help put a smile on the face of drivers, by once again allowing you to come up with funny names for eight of the Turnpike snowplows.

This is the third year for the contest. Go to this link and you can enter. Entries can be made until November 15, 2023. Turnpike staff will choose 30 of the entries, then they'll be voted on by the public from November 20 to December 6. The top eight will have their winning name on the snowplow's blade, and the person who submitted it will receive a $100 gift card.

To win, it helps to have a good knowledge of pop culture and a good sense of humor. Last year's winners were "CTRL-SALT-DELETE," "Ohio Thaw Enforcement," "Blizzard Wizard," "The Blizzard of Oz," "Plow Chicka Plow Wow," "You're Killin' Me Squalls," "Clearopathra," and "The Big LePLOWski."
