Rower Crossing The Pacific Rescued After Clinging To Boat 14 Hours

Last week, an Australian cruise ship took a 124-mile detour to rescue Tom Robinson, a 24-year-old Australian 15 months into an attempt to row across the Pacific.

When a “rogue wave” overturned his rowboat near Vanuatu in the South Pacific, Robinson climbed on the overturned vessel and triggered a distress signal.

The next morning, a grateful Robinson was picked up by P&O Cruises Pacific Explorer cruise ship and was later reunited with his relieved family in Brisbane.
