(Westlake) - It's a perfect case of, "what were they thinking?" Westlake Police on Tuesday arrested a 66-year-old North Olmsted man after he admitted he scared a woman by wearing a "Michael Myers" mask, like the one worn by the character from the "Halloween" movies.

Police say that about 7 p.m. Tuesday, they got a call from a frantic woman in a shopping plaza parking lot at Center Ridge Road and King James Parkway, saying a man in a "Jason Mask" came up to her and threatened her with a knife. The man then walked off, hiding behind cars and bushes.

Westlake Police found the man, walking with a child, further west on Center Ridge, still wearing the mask, which actually was a mask of the Michael Myers character from the "Halloween" movies. He also had in his pocket a toy handgun, and a plastic knife.

The man told police that he was playing a game with his six-year-old grandson. Westlake Police charged the man with aggravated menacing. The boy was taken by police to the home of his parents, who lived nearby.
