AI-Generated Art Cannot Be Copyrighted - Judge Rules

In one of the first major decisions involving artificial intelligence, a federal judge has ruled that AI-generated art cannot be copyrighted.

U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell ruled last week that art that is entirely AI-generated cannot be copyrighted.

A previous ruling found that works made using AI that are "selected or arranged" by humans in a "sufficiently creative way" can still be eligible for copyright
