The infamous large black bear dubbed "Hank the Tank," linked to at least 20 home break-ins in the Lake Tahoe area, has been successfully captured

Pending a successful veterinary check, wildlife officials have been granted permission from the State of Colorado to transport the black bear to The Wild Animal Sanctuary near Springfield, Colorado. The center has agreed to care for "Hank the Tank" in its expansive facilities. The bear's three young cubs, who have accompanied Hank the Tank on the recent break-ins, were also captured and will be potentially relocated to the Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue in Petaluma. Wildlife officials hope that by transferring them to a facility, they'll be able to break the negative behaviors they learned from their mom and can be returned to the wild.
