Juneteenth Success! 

  • MetroHealth Juneteenth extended two-day Freedom Festival was a huge success bringing over 7.3 thousand people to Mall C 
  • The free, family-friendly festival included live performances, art demonstrations, a vendor village, food trucks and more! 
  • We are grateful to all our partners who helped make this possible! 
  • Be sure to come down next year to participate in the fun 

Light up the Lake 

  • Light up the Lake, The annual Independence Day fireworks spectacular is back!  
  • On Tuesday, July 4th at 10 p.m., the fireworks will begin 
  • Downtown Cleveland, will host a free, family-friendly watch party at Voinovich Park from 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., featuring a DJ, games, kids’ activities, and food trucks 
  • In addition to Voinovich Park, fireworks can be seen from The Flats East and West Banks, Whiskey Island, Wendy Park, Edgewater Park, Kirtland Park, Superior Viaduct, Settlers Landing, and beyond 

Clean and Safe 

  • Downtown Cleveland’s Clean, Safe, and Welcoming Ambassadors remain hard at work 
  • In 2023 alone, Ambassadors have provided 1338 safety escorts, 199 Motorist assists, 9,968 Business contacts, and 14,224 security checks
