Everyone knows the most expensive gas in the U.S. is found in California, right? Well, not anymore.

According to AAA, Washington State is your new leader, with an average price of $4.93 per gallon - passing California at $4.86.

While those prices are well above the national average of $3.58, it's still lower than last summer's gas prices, when California topped out at a whopping $6.38 per gallon.
