The son of Robert Kennedy says he’s convinced the CIA was behind the assassination of his uncle, former President John F. Kennedy.
Robert Kennedy Jr. says he’s uncovered “evidence” that makes it clear that the agency orchestrated the infamous hit because his uncle refused to get the country involved in the Vietnam War. “When my uncle was president, he was surrounded by a military-industrial complex and intelligence apparatus that was constantly trying to get him to go to war,” Kennedy says. “He refused. He said that the job of the American presidency is to keep the nation out of war.”
While the younger Kennedy hasn’t revealed what information convinced him of the CIA’s involvement, he says, “There is overwhelming evidence that the CIA was involved in his murder. “I think it’s beyond a reasonable doubt at this point.”
