A sailor accused of setting fire to a Navy warship is headed to trial this week.

Ryan Sawyer Mays is accused of setting fire to the USS Bonhomme Richard because he was angry about failing to join the Navy SEALs.

The 2020 fire caused so much damage that the warship had to be scuttled.

Mays is facing a court martial on charges of aggravated arson and willfully harming a vessel. He denies the allegations.
