Browns Training Camp Notes, Aug. 6, 2022

 

 

  • The Browns made the following roster moves:
    • Activated WR David Bell.
    • Activated LB Anthony Walker Jr.
    • Activated WR Javon Wims.
    • Signed DE Chris Odom.
      • Odom is a 6-4, 255 pound second-year player out of Arkansas State. Originally signed by the Falcons as an undrafted free agent in 2017, he appeared in games with the Packers (2017) and Commanders (2019) before playing for the Calgary Stampeders of the CFL in 2021 and the Houston Gamblers of the USFL in 2022. He was named the USFL Defensive Player of the Year after leading the league with 12.5 sacks. In 12 career NFL games, he has recorded 16 tackles, two sacks and one forced fumble. Odom hails from Arlington, Texas and will wear No. 61.
    • Placed DE Stephen Weatherly (knee) on injured reserve. 

 

  • The following players did not practice today due to injury: DT Sheldon Day (back), CB Denzel Ward (foot) and WR Michael Woods (hamstring).

 

  • A total of 34 puppies have been adopted this year at the Browns Puppy Pound, presented by Sugardale. Since the program’s launch in 2015, 659 puppies from the Northeast Ohio Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) have been adopted by Browns fans at training camp practices. The Northeast Ohio SPCA is a non-profit no-kill pet shelter located in Parma.   • During open sessions of Browns training camp, all Browns fans in attendance can visit the Alumni Autograph Stage, presented by Keep It Fun Ohio, to collect an autograph of one of their favorite past players from 1-2:30 p.m. Today’s esteemed guest was Browns Legend Webster Slaughter.
