Putin Limits Amount Of Money Residents Can Take Out Of Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday signed a decree that bans residents from taking more than $10,000 out of the country, according to reports.

Putin decided to impose the limit after economic sanctions imposed by the U.S. and other countries have caused Russians to withdraw their savings in a panic.

Putin has also prohibited residents from giving foreign currency to non-residents in loan agreements and from depositing foreign money into foreign accounts.
