(Lakewood, OH) -- Lakewood officials say they will begin collecting fees from electric vehicle drivers who use the city's charging stations.
Starting on March 1st, EV drivers will pay 24-cents for every kilowatt-hour used at all city-operated charging stations.
City leaders say the fee will cover the cost of electricity and maintenance on the stations.
A four-hour time limit is also being established for Level-Two chargers with a two-hour limit at Level-Three chargers and an additional two-dollar fee for any additional hours.
