Inside the Cleveland Public Library's East 131st Street branch.

Bibb used the occasion to talk about the library and its influence in his life as a young man.

Municipal Judge Michael Nelson administered the oath of office to Bibb at the East 131st Street Branch of the Cleveland Public Library.

Bibb’s mother, Charlene Nichols, held the Bible.

The new mayor described this library branch as a “refuge” to him when he was 10 years old, living with his mother and grandmother on Dove Avenue

A virtual ceremonial swearing-in event for the new mayor will take place this Saturday.
