Warrant Out For Another Person In Detective's Murder

(Cleveland) -There's a warrant out for the arrest of a man who is accused of having a connection to last September's fatal shooting of Cleveland Police Detective James Skernivitz, and informant Scott Dingess.

The warrant was put out Tuesday for Rodney Cremeans, 21, who police and prosecutors say disposed of the guns used in the murders. Court records say Cremeans "made arrangements to dispose of the guns."

Detective Skernivitz was working undercover when he and Dingess were shot during an attempted robbery near West 65th Street. David McDaniel, 18, is charged with two counts of aggravated murder. Two other suspects in the murders were 17 and 15 at the time of the crime, and their cases are being dealt with in juvenile court. Prosecutors want to try to get both bound over to be tried as adults.
