Law Enforcement Teams Up for OVI Patrol in Medina on Super Bowl Sunday

Cleveland, OH - The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Medina Post along with the Medina County Sheriff’s Department will be conducting a joint OVI Saturation Patrol on February 7, 2021.

The OVI Saturation Patrol will focus on State Route 18 and Interstate 71 in and around Medina Township.

The hours of the Saturation Patrol will be from 8:00PM to 4AM.During these hours the focus will be to remove impaired drivers from the roadways and enforce traffic crash causing violations.

“Last year, one third of the people killed in automobile accidents in Medina County involved an impaired driver,” said Lt. Mark Neff, Commander of the Medina Post. “We can’t fight the battle against impaired driving on our own. We need everyone’s commitment to make our roads safe,” said Lt. Mark Neff.

If you drink, be responsible and don’t drive. Use a designated driver, a cab, or an Uber to get you to your destination safely.
