Survey: Americans Not Seeking Needed Health Care During Pandemic

(Cleveland) - If you are afraid to go to the doctor to deal with a heart issue during the pandemic, you're not alone. A survey by Cleveland Clinic says only 52 percent of Americans went to see a doctor for health issues during the pandemic, and when it comes to patients with heart disease, only 63 percent actually sought medical help.

Rather than go to the doctor, people went to the internet, or asked friends or family what to do.

85 percent of those surveyed say they're concerned about contracting COVID-19 during a routine trip to the doctor.

Cleveland Clinic says not all of the survey results were negative, as it wound many Americans have adopted healthy habits during the pandemic, including taking vitamins, exercising more, and eating healthier foods.
