Parma City Council Asks Residents to Keep Holiday Lights Glowing

(Cleveland – OH) Parma City Council passed a resolution Dec. 30, Wednesday evening encouraging residents to keep their holiday lights glowing until the end of February in a show of support for health-care workers and first responders.

Spearheaded by Ward 9 Councilman Roy Jech, council members hope to see the holiday spirit continue during the cold and challenging months ahead.

"At a time when people are encouraged to stay distant from others, Christmas lights and decorations can create a sense of community among neighbors and friends, as well as help bolster people’s moods," Jech said. He added, "Parma residents have always risen to the occasion with exceptional decorations and Christmas displays, so why not continue to display them."
