Demonstrators Come Out Against Restaurant Sign

(Elyria Township) - Protesters showed up over the weekend at the Dinner Bell Drive-In Restaurant on Lake Avenue, after earlier in the week, the sign out front read "Black Lives Don't Matter, All Lives Matter."

The Chronicle-Telegram reports the sign went up after a Black woman from Elyria was told by the restaurant's owner to "Get your black kid," referring to her five-year-old son, and allegedly used the n-word toward her.

The sign has since been changed. The owner's son, Robert Reynolds, told 3 News, the sign was taken out of context, and it was an honest mistake, saying, "I believe all lives matter, Black lives matter."
