Cavs Struggles Continue, Pelicans Win 125-111

CLEVELAND--As the league continues to mourn the tragic loss of NBA icon Kobe Bryant, the Cavs played their first home since the death. The Cavs were unable to win in Zion Williamson's road debut with the New Orleans Pelicans 125-111. Coach John Beilein had this to say about Kobe and his impact on the team.

Now onto the action as the Cavs were in chase mode for almost the entire game. Jrue Holiday led all scorers with 26 points, Brandon Ingram had 24 points and Zion Williamson has an impactful 14 points and nine rebounds in 30 minutes of play. While Zion had a good game...Collin Sexton did this:

Sexton also had 24 points along with Kevin Porter Jr (21 pts) & Larry Nance Jr (17 pts), but it was not enough as the Pelicans took care of business on the road and the Cavs dropped eight of their last nine.

Pelicans will head home to face #2 pick Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies this Friday night. Meanwhile the Cavs will host the Toronto Raptors Thursday night right here on WTAM 1100AM and 106.9FM.
