Rocky River Police Blotter: Illegal Dumping

On 12/31/2019 at about 2:20 AM police were called to a Lake Rd. residence when the homeowner discovered his backyard water spigot was open and water was running. The back yard and are were checked and no one was found and nothing else was out of order. 

On 12/31/2019 at about 10:50 AM police were called to the Ferris Steakhouse 2589 Wooster Rd. when an employee reported someone was knocking on the front and back door. Police arrived and discovered a 41-year-old North Olmsted man having a medical emergency. He was transported to hospital by ambulance. 

On 12/31/2019 at about 1:50 PM police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Detroit Rd. at Lakeview. One of the drivers, later determined to have caused the accident, was outside is vehicle yelling at the other driver, who had locked herself in the car until police arrived. The man refused to stop yelling, swearing, and threatening the other driver during the investigation. When cited, the man continued, even after a warning to stop, to yell, taunt, and otherwise be uncooperative. Caswell Person, 45-years-old from North Olmsted, was cited for Reckless Operation and Disorderly Conduct. 

On 12/31/2019 at about 3:40 PM, police responded to Cravings 19701 Lake Rd. after the manager reported illegal dumping in their dumpster, including cardboard boxes and furniture. The boxes and other documents had the name and phone number of a Linda St. resident on them. After denying the dumping to the manager, the resident admitted to police, apologized, and retrieved the garbage for a proper disposal. No charges were filed. 

On 01/01/2020 at about 2:05 AM a Wooster Rd. resident reported an unknown person pounding on her front door. Police arrived and found a friend of the caller at the door. It was determined that the two were in a relationship and recently broken up. The visitor came to the house after a phone conversation; it was unclear if an invitation was extended. No charges were filed and the guest eventually left in an Uber. 

On 01/04/2020 at about 2:10 AM police stopped a 2009 Jeep for traffic and equipment violations. While talking with the driver, the officer detected indicators of alcohol intoxication. After a series of field sobriety tests, 49-year-old Jeanna Graham of Rocky River was arrested for drunk driving.
