Cleveland police looking for vehicle that struck officer downtown

CLEVELAND - Cleveland police are asking for the public’s help to find the vehicle that struck an off-duty officer downtown. The injured officer – who has not been identified – was struck about 4 a.m. Saturday while working in downtown Cleveland’s Warehouse District.

The incident happened near the intersection of W. 9th Street and W. Superior Avenue. The officer suffered broken ribs.

Anyone with information about the vehicle’s whereabouts should contact Cleveland police’s Third District Detective Bureau at 216-623-5318. Anonymous tips can also be sent via Crime Stoppers by calling or texting 216-25-CRIME (216-252-7463). Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000.
