No Rascal in the Cleveland Flats

Rascal Flatts

(Cleveland) - The platinum-selling country music group Rascal Flatts is not going to be spending their time in the Flats. The Nashville-based act announced on their website this week that they have pulled out of a plan to operate a chain of eponymous bar-restaurants; the first of which was to built in the - wait for it - Flats area, by the Cuyahoga River in downtown Cleveland.

The group's message to their fans said they no longer had any business with the developer of the now-dead project and, perhaps in a veiled message to lawyers everywhere - that they had no connection to or responsibility for,  any debts that may have been accrued by the development corporation, which was filed under the name 'RF IP LLC.'

In short, if you want to 'bob that head' to Rascal Flatts this summer, you'll need to do so at their annual show at Blossom Music Center.
