Wadsworth teen pleads No Contest to murder charges

(Medina County) - A Wadsworth teenager accused of killing his 98-year-old neighbor was found guilty today. 

Seventeen year-old Gavon Ramsay pleaded No Contest this morning, to the murder of a 98 year old neighbor.  

Appearing in Medina County Common Pleas Court, Ramsay abandoned his Not Guilty plea. The judge quickly found Ramsay guilty on charges of aggravated murder, murder, kidnapping, aggravated burglary and gross abuse of a corpse.  

Margaret Douglas was found dead in April after one of her friends hadn't talked to her for a few days. Douglas was strangled, and her body was discovered in a closet in her home.

Ramsey of will be sentenced January 3rd, after undergoing a psychiatric evaluation. if he had not changed his plea, the teen would likely have been tried as as an adult, with the possibility of facing a lifetime in prison.
