A likely murder-suicide on Cleveland's west side

(Cleveland) - Detectives are investigating a possible murder-suicide in the Cudell neighborhood.  Police say they were called to a home on West 112th Street near Lorain Avenue. 

A woman was concerned because she had not seen her neighbors in a while, and mail was piling up outside. She asked officers to do a welfare check.  Police found two dead bodies when they went inside the house. 

According to a police report, a tenant was recently evicted from the home and lived there with his handicapped daughter.

Meanwhile, detectives are trying to solve a killing on West 46th Street. Officers responded for a male shot at approximately 4:20am. 

Officers administered first aid until the arrival of EMS and victim was transported to Metro where the victim was later pronounced deceased. The 20 year old black male had been wounded multiple times. 

On scene it was learned that the victim and a female had parked at 3390 W. 46 and victim walked to 3380 W. 46 to pick up food from Dina’s Diner and the female stayed in the car. 

Investigators say as the victim was walking back to the vehicle, he was approached by an unknown male, they exchanged words, the suspect pulled out a gun and shot victim. 

The female attempted to render aid until police/EMS arrived. 

No arrests have been made. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact investigators at 216-623-5464.
