Reward offered for information on 8 homicides

(Cleveland) - Police officials say progress is being made in solving the 8 homicides that occurred this week. 

Deputy Chief Harold Pretel says they have extra personnel on those cases, and they are receiving assistant from law enforcement partners including the FBI. 

However, Pretel maintains, the public remains their most important partner, and they are asking for tips, no matter how small. In each case, a $7500 reward is offered for vital information. 

The number to call is 25crime or any local law enforcement agency. 

The 8 killings since Sunday are: Francis Alverez and Rebecca Vasquez in the 8800 block of Detroit Avenue. 

No arrests, and no suspects. An arrest has been made in the killing of Victor Maar Jr. on WEst 146th Street.  

No arrests in the death of Eucebia Garcia on Gertrude Avenue.

No arrests in the death of an unidentified victim in the 5900 block of Engle Road. 

Arrests are likely in the killing Antoine Reese on West 91st Street. 

No arrests in the murder of Gerald Hayes on East 146th Street.There may be persons of interests in the killing of Sarontay Williams at the Zelma George Roller Skating Facility.
