Rocky River Police Blotter: September 19th

Rocky River - 

  • On 09/11/2018 at about 8:40 AM police stopped a motorist for speeding in a school zone. A computer check also indicated the driver was wanted in Michigan for child neglect. The warrant was confirmed and the 33-year-old Rocky River man was arrested and is awaiting extradition. He was also cited for speed and expired license plates.


  • On 09/11/2018 at about 11:30 PM a staff member at a Lake Rd. nursing home called to report being threatened by a coworker who is now refusing to leave. The woman, 30 year old Aisha Johnson from Cleveland, was gone when police arrived, The complainant said that during a disagreement Ms. Johnson threatened to "kick her ass" and called her names as she was escorted from the building. The complainant signed a complaint for menacing and a motion for a protection order and Ms. Johnson was arrested.


  • On 09/12/2018 at about 11:10 AM the manager of Lowe's at Westgate reported the theft of a pressure washer, the second time in two days. The suspect, a white male, left the store through the garden center without paying for the pressure washer, valued at about $499.99. Similar items are also being stolen from the Avon Lowe's.


  • On 09/13/2018 at about 6:40 PM police responded to a Lake Rd. condominium after residents reported a woman entered their home without permission. Police believe the woman abandoned the attempted burglary when she discovered the residents were home. The suspect, a black woman between 30-40 years old and between 5' 2" and 5' 5" tall, was seen leaving in a blue Ford Escape with a burnt out or broken tail light. Police are investigating.
