(Akron) -- Former Akron Police Captain Douglas Prade will not get a new trial for the murder of his wife. A state appeals court upheld yesterday a Summit County judge's decision to deny a retrial, ruling new evidence in the case would not sway a jury. Prade is 21 years into a life sentence for killing his wife. Ohio Innocence Project lawyers presented new DNA results that they said excluded him as the killer.
