Dad charged in Medina hot car death

(Medina) - A father has been arrested and charged for supposedly leaving his six-month-old daughter in a hot car outside a Medina baseball field last month. 

The tragedy happened on July 14th, when the unresponsive toddler was found in a car at Mellert Park. She later died in a Medina hospital. 

Investigators believe the child was in the vehicle for 2-and-a-half hours on a 90 degree day. Christopher Lee Stewart, of Middleburg Heights is charged with felony child endangering, and is free after posting bond.
