Tigers Over Indians, 6-3

(Detroit, MI)  --  Niko Goodrum homered twice and drove in five runs to power the Tigers past the Indians 6-3 in Detroit.  Goodrum hit a two-run homer in the fourth to put the Tigers ahead and a three-run bomb in the eighth to put the game out of reach.  

Mike Fiers tossed six frames of one-run ball to earn the win.  Detroit has won three-of-four to improve to 18-and-22 overall.  

Cleveland starter Carlos Carrasco surrendered three runs over six-and-two-thirds innings to take the loss.  Jose Ramirez homered for the Tribe as they fell to 20-and-20.

Josh Tomlin takes the mound for the Tribe in the second of three from Comerica Park.  Francico Liriano will start for the Tigers.  First pitch at 7:10 p.m. on 100.7 WMMS.
