Indians Edged By Seattle, 5-4

(Cleveland)  --  Kyle Seager went 3-for-4 with the go-ahead double in the eighth inning as the Mariners edged the Indians 5-4 at Progressive Field.  

James Paxton struck out 10 over six innings, but Dan Altavilla picked up the win after getting the last two outs in the seventh.  The Mariners have won three in-a-row. 

 Edwin Encarnacion had an RBI single in the seventh to tie the game at four after trailing 4-0 in the fourth.  Yonder Alonso hit a two-run homer for the Tribe.  

Nick Goody took the loss in relief.

The Indians and Mariners play the second game of the four-game series Friday night at Progressive Field.  Corey Kluber (3-1) starts for the Tribe, and Erasmo Ramirez (0-1) goes to the mound for Seattle.  First pitch at 7:10 p.m. Hear the game on 100.7 WMMS.
