ARLINGTON - The 2018 NFL Draft is underway, the Cleveland Browns have selected Baker Mayfield, Quarter Back from Oklahoma University with the 1st overall pick.
This story had really picked up steam over the last few days, and per sources around the NFL they had believed the Browns would indeed take Baker Mayfield #1 overall.
What exactly are the Browns getting in Baker Mayfiled? Mayfield was a walk-on at Texas Tech University before transferring and walking on at Oklahoma University. He became a 3 year starter for the Sooners and won the Heisman Trophy following his senior year. As a starter in college Mayfield threw for 129 touchdowns and just 29 interceptions in his career, and oh yeah he added 21 rushing touchdowns. His career passing percentage was 68.7%.
