(Cuyahoga County) - Chagrin Falls School District volunteers and parents are trying to raise money for a band trip to Walt Disney World this November, and are doing it with a unique promotion that starts today.

Flocks of 16 pink flamingos are being placed on selected yards within the school district from today through Sunday, April 22, in hopes of collecting $2500 for The Chagrin Falls Instrumental Music Department 2018 High School Band and Orchestra trip.

The recipients can choose not to play and have the flamingos removed or they can pay $10 to remove the flock and place it on another yard, or for a donation of more than $10 they can pick the address where it will be moved.

At anytime before or during the event individuals can purchase Flock-Me-Not Insurance for a donation of $25 or more to assure the flocks don’t get placed on their yard.

Each flock will have a lead flamingo with a bag around its neck with paperwork explaining the program, paperwork to send the flamingo on, insurance policy information and the number to contact to have the flock picked up.

Delivery and removal of the flocks will take place between 9am and 9pm on weekends and 3pm and 9pm on school nights by groups of orchestra or band students.

A parent or guardian will be in each Flock moving vehicle. If they do not receive a call to move a Flock in a timely manner, they will move the flock to keep them migrating to as many yards as possible.

If you would like to Flock-a-Friend, go on the Do-Not-Flock List, or buy Flock-me-Not Insurance complete the forms and send (and donation if appropriate) to:
