Reds hold off Tribe in Cactus League opener

GOODYEAR, Ariz. -- The Indians fell to the Cincinnati Reds 6-4 on Friday in their Cactus League exhibition opener at Goodyear Ballpark. 

Yonder Alonso homered in his first at-bat of the spring while Mike Clevinger was dominant in his one inning of work, but the Reds got long ball contributions from Tucker Barnhart and Brandon Dixon holding off the Tribe.

The Indians are back at it on Saturday afternoon at in Scottsdale when they travel to Salt River Fields to battle the Arizona Diamondbacks at 3:05 pm ET. The game can be heard on Newsradio WTAM 1100.
