Cleveland - If you're looking for a new best friend, the city of Cleveland can help you out this weekend.
The City Kennel, located at 2690 West 7th Street, has 99 City Dogs up for adoption, and they're lowering the fees from $61 to $40 just through Sunday.
In addition, the kennel will open earlier on Sunday--at 10:00AM rather than the usual 12:00Noon.
City Dogs is a kennel program that promotes adoption of the "pit bull type dogs" who are the majority of the population there.
The program tries to change the image of the dogs by "creating as many opportunities as possible for the public to meet and get to know our dogs for the terrific pets they are meant to be."
All of the dogs available for adoption this weekend are vaccinated, microchipped, spayed/neutered, and comes with a county license.
