Two children are in critical condition at Akron Children's Hospital following a house fire Thursday night on Akron's Seward Avenue.
Flames broke out at the home about 11:30pm. When firefighters responded, a woman was standing in the front yard screaming that her kids were inside the burning home.
Akron Fire personnel rescued the kids from the home. Their names and ages were not immediately known. There were no working smoke detectors inside the home. The cause remains under investigation.
