President Trump, Lebron spar in Tweets

(Undated)- (TTWN Media Networks LLC)- President Trump is getting some backlash from the sports world following controversial comments he made Friday in Alabama.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell slammed Trump today after the President criticized NFL players for kneeling in protest during the national anthem.  

At a rally for Alabama Republican Senator Luther Strange, Trump said team owners should fire players for taking a knee during the national anthem.

He urged fans to leave the stadium if players take a knee in protest.Goodell called Trump's comments divisive, adding that they show a lack of respect for the league and its players.

Meanwhile, Trump took to Twitter today to un-invite NBA champion Stephen Curry to the White House.

At a press conference Friday, the Golden State Warriors point guard said he would be against his team attending a meet-and-greet with Trump.

The President tweeted today saying "Going to the White House is considered a great honor for a championship team. 

Stephen Curry is hesitating, therefore invitation is withdrawn."

A few hours later, Lebron James weighed in on Twitter, calling Trump a bum, adding that Curry already said he was not going.

James said "Going to the White House was a great honor until you showed up!"
