Cleveland To Pay Protestors 50K

WTAM News

Six people will share 50-thousand-dollars to settle a civil rights lawsuit against the city of Cleveland.  Five protesters and a legal observer sued the city in 2015 after they were arrested while protesting Michael Brelo's not-guilty verdict.  The group claims it was held in the decrepit and filthy former Aviation High School before being locked in the city jail for 36 hours.  Brelo was acquitted in the shooting deaths of Timothy Russell and Malissa Williams following a police chase in November of 2012.
