Two Suspects In Akron Shooting Arrested

Hackney Brothers

(Huntington, WV) - The U.S. Marshal's Service has arrested both suspects in the shooting of a man in Akron

30-year-old Spencer Hackney was arrested Monday night in Huntington, West Virginia.  Both Spencer Hackney, and his brother Christopher, were involved in a felonious assault shooting in the 700 block of Amherst Street in Akron.  Both brothers have been on the run since shooting a man after a verbal fight with the victim, which was followed by the shooting.

Authorities say Spencer Hackney was stopped when he was in a vehicle while trying to get away.

He is in jail in West Virginia, until all the legal work is done to send him back to Ohio.

Christopher Hackney turned himself in after his brother was arrested.
