County Council OK the Only Thing Needed For Cleveland Jail Sale

Cleveland Police

(Cleveland) - Cuyahoga County Council must still approve a deal where the county will assume operation of the Cleveland City jail.

The deal, which was approved Monday night by Cleveland City Council, also calls for the sale of Cleveland Police Headquarters to the county.

The City of Cleveland would pay the county to house its' inmates which would not cost the county any money while saving the city $5 million dollars annually.
