(Akron) – An Amber Alert for a missing baby has been canceled.
One-year-old Darius Heard Jr. was dropped off around 8 a.m. at his grandparents house. about 4:30 in the morning, he had been taken by force from his home at an apartment near downtown Akron by his non-custodial father.
Police are still looking for Darius Rashaad Heard (photo below). The suspect is a Black male, age 27, is 6'01" tall, weighs 195, and has black hair and brown eyes. Last seen wearing a black Nike jacket, and grey shorts.
The vehicle involved is a silver Chevy Sonic. Car is believed to be an later model, and possibly has Texas Plates. There is an Enterprise rental sticker on front windshield on the driver’s side.
