(Avon Lake) - A homeowner in Lorain County is nursing cuts and bruises after a burglar broke into his house.
Avon Lake police say a man broke into a hosue in the 100 block of Hermann Drive about 2:40 a.m. Monday by kicking open a door leading from the garage.
The homeowner heard it all and confronted the burglar. The two got into a scuffle, and the homeowner ended up with a cut above his eye.
The burglar got away. Police say he is a white male, about six feet tall, between 220-230 pounds. He's clean shaven. The man was wearing a black hoodie, a black stocking cap and black gloves.
