(Oberlin) -- Officials of a Lorain County community are telling residents their water is safe, despite high levels of a cancer-causing contaminant. The city of Oberlin issued a notice yesterday that Trihalomethane levels are over federal standards. People exposed to TTHM over several years have increased risk of cancer and problems with their liver and kidneys.
