(Brecksville) - Taxpayers who live in villages or cities who have tried but unsuccessfully log on to the Regional Income Tax Agency have been granted until 11:59PM Monday, April 21 to get their taxes done and filed.

RITA's website was overwhelmed by filers over the weekend and Monday which kept others from logging on to the system to do their taxes.

Don Smith, executive director with RITA, says they have doubled the bandwidth of the site and are in the process of adding even more to handle the crush of taxpayers.

Smith says they believed they had sufficient bandwidth to handle this year's filers but he admits they were caught a little off-guard when the system became overwhelmed.
