(Lakewood)  One firefighter had minor burns and another a muscle strain while trying to put out a fire at a vacant building near Madison and Mars Saturday morning.

The fire apparently started in the basement of the building around 6:30AM, but quickly spread to the upper floors.

Crews from Rocky River and Fairview Park helped Lakewood firefighters put the fire out.

The injured firefighters were treated at Lakewood Hospital, and are expected to be okay.

The cause remains under investigation.
