(Brook Park) – The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s office wants to send out a message to check up on older relatives, friends and neighbors.

The ME’s office says an autopsy Tuesday showed that 71-year-old David Miller recently died of natural causes, and that was followed by the death of his wife, 73-year-old Shirley Miller, from hypothermia.

The ME says Mr. Miller was Mrs. Miller's caregiver, since she had Alzheimer’s. It's believed that after he died, she did not know how to care for herself, or whom to call.

For reasons undetermined, the home's temperature dropped, and the ME says caused Mrs. Miller’s death.
